Characteristics

Weak-stemmed shrub, sometimes scrambling, 1.8-3.6 m tall; stems pubescent with simple hairs.. Leaves petiolate, elliptic, 12-17 cm long, 3-6.5 cm wide, base cuneate or attenuate, margins serrate, apex shortly acuminate-attenuate, apiculate, shortly scattered-pubescent above and beneath, especially on veins; petiole 0.9-2.5 cm long.. Capitula in terminal corymbiform cymes; involucre 5-7 mm long; phyllaries in several series, ovate or broadly ovate, acute and apiculate, pubescent, the inner narrowly elliptic to narrowly obovate, 5.5-6.2 mm long.. Corolla white or cream, 5.5-6.5 mm long, lobes 2 mm long, glabrous.. Achenes 2.5-3 mm long, 10-ribbed, shortly ascending-pubescent; outer pappus 0.5-0.6 mm long, inner pappus stramineous, 5-6 mm long.
