Leaflets in 6-11 subopposite pairs, often secund; ± 21 x 7 mm, linear-oblong, sparsely hairy beneath, apex mucronulate. Stipules paired, 3-lobed. Inflorescences of long racemes; flowers secund; peduncles tawny-hairy, ± 80 mm long. Flowers up to 18 mm long, mauve, deep-purple or red-striped with apex of keel and standard petal dark red. Calyx ± membranous, lobes subulate, tawny-hairy. Flowering time Aug., Sept.
