Characteristics

Herb, glabrous, the rhizomes creeping, lignous, often elongated, the stems more or less erect, up to 20 cm long. Leaves with the petioles up to 8 mm long, the stipules narrowly triangular, up to 2 cm long, long-fimbrillate, brownish; blade oblique, narrowly elliptic, cuneate at the base, long-acuminate at the apex, crenulate-serrulate at the margins, up to 9.5 cm long and 3.2 cm wide. Flowers with the pedicels filiform, up to 6 cm long, the bracteoles subulate, 5-7 mm long; sepals narrowly ovate, acute, ca 6 mm long and 1.2 mm wide; corolla white with purple veins; anterior petal obovate, rounded at the apex, ca 9 mm long (spur included) and 4.5 mm wide, the spur only ca 1 mm long; lateral and upper petals oblong-ovate or oblong-elliptic, rounded at the apex, ca 6.5-7.5 mm long and 2-3 mm wide; anthers ca 1.8 mm long, the connective appendages deltoid, ca 1, mm long and wide at the base, brownish, inconspicuously fimbrillate; ovary ca as long as the anthers; style slender, terete, ? erect, ca 2.8 mm long, with the indistinct stigma aperture at the apex. Capsule oblong-ellipsoid, ca 6-7 mm long, the seeds ca 1 mm long.
