Origin: in Geneva, N.Y., by Richard Wellington, New York State Agr. Expt. Sta. Introd. in 1952. Fredonia × N.Y. 10805 (Chasselas Rose × Mills); cross made in 1930; selected in 1937; tested as N.Y. 18149. Cluster: medium; cylindrical to tapering; compact. Berry: medium; round-oval; skin black; flesh tender, juicy; sweet; quality fair; ripens end of September in New York; lacks foxy flavor of Fredonia, which it resembles. Tree: Fruit:
