Origin: in Pretoria, South Africa, by E.P. Evans, Hort. Res. Inst. Introd. in 1966. Isabella × Pirovano 15; selected in 1961. Cluster: varies from 6-22 oz with average bunch weight of 16 oz; good shape; wellfilled; fairly compact. Berry: averages 1/2 inch in diam.; resembles Prince; skin blueblack, medium bloom, not tough; flesh greenish, firm; soluble solids content varies between 16% to 18%; flavor foxy, similar to Isabella; ripens early, end of December in Pretoria, 2-3 weeks before Niagara.
