Cultivation

White, light-muscat wine grape resistant to downy and powdery mildews. Origin: orig. in Siebeldingen, Germany, at the Institute for Grapevine Breeding Geilweilerhof. Bacchus × Villard Blanc; tested as Gf.Ga-49-22; introd. in 1992. Variety protection in Germany. Tree: Fruit: white; size larger than Müller-Thurgau; ripens with Müller-Thurgau; berry prone to splitting when heavy rainfalls occur near harvest; wines are light muscat in flavor. Cluster: more compact than Müller-Thurgau but similar in size.
