Cultivation

Origin: in Saint Vallier, Drome, France, by Seyve-Villard, and the first hybrid introduced commercially by this breeder, about 1932. Imported from France into the U.S. as P.I. 181602. Cluster: small; cylindrical; compact. Berry: round; skin light pink on a yellow ground color, almost lavender; flesh pulpy; slight foxy taste; sometimes shelling before full maturity; massed at base of shoots; ripens in early midseason.
