Characteristics

Stem branched from the base; branches erect, subpilose by short hairs; leaves linear, narrow, acute, with thick, denticulate margins, the lower opposite, upper ones alternate; raceme elongate; peduncles shorter than the leaves; calyx scabrous, tube hemispherical, shorter than the linear-acuminate, ciliolate lobes; corolla cylindraceous, twice longer than the calyx; capsule broadly turbinate, 5-costate or 5-angular.
