Leaves alternate, sessile, numerous and densely set, ± erect or spreading, linear to lanceolate, 5-15(-25) mm long, 0.5-3(-8) mm wide, acute, glabrous, ciliate or hirsute beneath; margin not or slightly cartilaginous, entire. Corolla 6-10 mm long, blue or mauve, deeply split into linear lobes, puberulous inside near the base; tube less than 1 mm long. Stamens 4.5-7 mm long; filament-bases narrowly angularly obovate, ciliate; anthers 2-2.5 mm long. Ovary 3-locular, semi-inferior. Style about as long as the corolla or somewhat shorter eglandular, glabrous below; lobes 3, ± 0.6-0.8 mm long. Capsule 3-locular, 10-nerved; valves 3, ± 2 mm long.
