Characteristics

Caulis subadscendens, brevissimus, crassus, a basi ramosissimus, subpilosus, superne subramosus, glaber, cr. 5-10 cm longus. Folia alterna, sessilia vel inferiora subpetiolata, caulem laxe investientia, caulis inferiore parte confertissima, anguste spathulata, apice subacuta, aculeos non gerentia, margine subincrassata, dentibus singulis exiguis ornata, subinvoluta, glabra, cr. 5-11 mm longa, apice 1.5 mm lata. Flores breviter pedicellati, pedicellis 5-7 mm longis; ovarium 3 loculare, obovatum, subcuneatum, epilosum, 2 mm longum 1.5 mm crassum; calycis laciniae anguste lanceolatae, usque sublineares, apice acutae, aculeos non gerentes, margine subincrassatae, edentatae, non pilosae, involutae, cr. 4 mm longae, 1.5 mm latae basi appendice subrotunda, squamiformi ornatae; corolla subcampanulata, ad dimidium laciniata, laciniis fere item longis ac latis, apice subacutis, cr. 6 mm longa, laciniis cr. 3 mm longis; filamenti basis late lanceolata, brevis, 3-pIo longior quam latior; antherae breves, apice subobtusae, 4-plo longiores quam latiores; stilus brevis, crassus, apice haud incrassatus, corollae fere dimidium longitudine adaequans; stigmatis lobi 3, longi, crassi, apice subobtusi, involuti. Capsula obovata, subcuneata, fere item longa ac crassa, glabra, 3 mm longa, parte superiore conica, subacuta, duplo altiore quam crassiore.
