Inflorescence lax, ± leafy, sometimes reduced to a single terminal flower; pedicels up to 22 mm. long, hirsute or glabrous.. Hypanthium obconical, ± 10-nerved, hirsute or glabrous.. Calyx-lobes 2.5–7 mm. long, glabrous to sparsely hirsute and denticulate.. Corolla 6.5–10 mm. long, blue, split almost to the base into linear lobes, puberulous inside towards the base, usually ± hirsute outside on the midvein.. Filament-bases dilated, ciliate; anthers ± 2 mm. long.. Ovary 3-locular, semi-inferior; style shorter than or rarely as long as the corolla, glabrous below; lobes 3, ± 1 mm. long.. Capsule 3-locular, ± 10-nerved; valves 3, 1.5–2 mm. long.. Seeds elliptic-oblong in outline, slightly compressed, 0.5–0.6 mm. long; testa almost smooth.
