Ovary 3–locular, semi–inferior; style c. as long as the corolla or shorter, eglandular, slightly thickened in the upper part, glabrous below; lobes 3, 1–1·2 mm. long.
Corolla 5·5–9 mm. long, white or bluish, deeply split into linear lobes, puberulous inside near the base, glabrous outside; tube 0·1–0·2 mm. long.
Leaves 1·5–7(10) x 0·5–1 mm., alternate, sessile, ± erect, lanceolate–subulate; margin ± incrassate, entire or with a few teeth.
Stems few to many, usually sparsely branched, striate, glabrous or puberulous (usually at the base only), grey–green.
Seeds 0–6–0–8 mm. long, elliptic in outline, obscurely trigonous, sometimes slightly winged; testa almost smooth.
Calyx–lobes 1·2–2·8 mm. long, narrowly triangular, acute, glabrous, margin sometimes with a few reflexed teeth.
Inflorescence ± lax or strongly contracted; pedicels up to 5(8) mm. long, glabrous or puberulous.
