Characteristics

Herba ephemera, ad 12 cm alta, laxe pilosa. Radix anguste fusiformis. Rami tenues, ascendentes, densiusculi. Folia alterna, sparsa, oblonga, acutiuscula, integra, 4 mm longa, 1 mm lata. Inflorescentiae cymosae, pleraeque umbelliformiter contractae, multiflorae. Pedicelli 7 mm (fructiferi 10 mm) longi. Flores pentameri. Receptaculum hemisphaericum, 2 mm altum. Lobi calycis lanceolati, integri, 1.5 mm longi. Corolla infundibuliformi-tubulosa, bicolor, prope basin obscurior, 6 mm longa, ad basin 1 mm, ad os 4 mm lata. Antherae oblongae, 1.5 mm longae; filamenta prope basin ovali-dilatata. Stylus 4 mm longus, eglandulosus; stigmata 3, late ovata. Ovarium inferum, semiglobosum, triloculare, multiovulatum. Capsula trilocularis, hemisphaerica, 3 mm longa, pars libera dimidio brevior quam lobi calycis, conica. Semina numerosa, ovalia, nitida, 1/2 mm longa.
