Characteristics

Unarmed, erect, perennial, dwarf shrub, up to 0.3 m high; densely branching; at first thinly appressed-pubescent, afterwards glabrate; twigs furrowed, reddish. Leaves petiolate, flattish. Leaflets cuneate-oblong or sublinear, mucronate, glabrous or minutely puberulous underneath. Inflorescences short, several-flowered, terminal racemes. Flowers nodding, yellow, turning dark when dry. Calyx campanulate, puberulous; teeth widely triangular, acute. Petals glabrous; standard brown on back. Flowering time Sept.-Nov. Pod subcompressed, acute, glabrous.
