Leaf-blade broadly ovate-cordate, ovate-truncate, pentagonal, narrowly triangular, hastate or sagittate in outline, scabrid-hairy or-punctate above, scabrid-hairy especially on nerves beneath, subentire to distinctly sinuate-toothed, subacute or obtuse and apiculate, 25–75 mm. long, 12–70 mm. broad, unlobed, obscurely lobed or sometimes distinctly 5-lobed; lobes triangular or broadly triangular, with the central largest; petiole rather scabrid-hairy, 6–51 mm. long.. Male flowers 2–21 in up to 45 mm. pedunculate or rarely sessile subumbelliform clusters; pedicels 3–14 mm. long; receptacle-tube broadly campanulate, 1.5–3.5 mm. long, hairy inside; lobes filiform-subulate, 1 mm. long; petals white, becoming cream then yellow when old, 3.5 mm. long, 1.5–3 mm. broad, united below; stamens 3; filaments long..
