Dioecious slender climber, rarely monoecious. Leaves broadly ovate, cordate at base; lamina 5–8 cm long, 5–8 cm wide, unlobed to shallowly 3-lobed, dentate, acute or acuminate. Male flowers in umbel-like inflorescences; peduncles 2–7 cm long; pedicels 3–8 mm long; hypanthium 2 mm long; calyx lobes narrowly triangular, 0.5 mm long; corolla lobes ovate, acute, 2.5 mm long. Female flowers solitary or in fascicles or umbels. Fruit ellipsoidal, 9–15 mm long, 6–9 mm diam. Seeds ovate, 4 mm long, margined, pale.
