Leaf-blade ovate-triangular in outline, cordate or subtruncate, sinuate or subentire and ± toothed, acuminate and apiculate, scabrid-punctate above, 50–108 mm. long, 45–77 mm. broad, sometimes obscurely palmately 3–5-lobed; petiole 11–48 mm. long.. Male flowers in sessile or shortly pedunculate umbelliform clusters of 4–11, with peduncle up to 3 mm. long and 4–19 mm. long pedicels, often with one coaxillary solitary flower; receptacle-tube campanulate, somewhat narrowed just below the mouth, hairy inside, 3–3.5 mm. long; lobes triangular-filiform, 0.7–1.2 mm. long; petals white, becoming cream then yellow when old, 3–4 mm. long, 1.5–2.5 mm. broad; stamens 3; filaments long.. Female flowers rarely solitary, usually in sessile or pedunculate umbelliform clusters of 2–18; peduncle up to 27 mm. long; pedicels 3–15 mm. long; ovary subglobose, 3–3.5 mm. long, 2 mm. across; receptacle-tube hairy in the mouth, 2–2.7 mm. long; lobes triangular-subulate, 0.5–1 mm. long; petals 2.5–3 mm. long, 1–2 mm. broad..
