Characteristics

A ginger family herb. The rhizomes are cylinder shape and have an aroma. The false stems are 60-100 cm long by 6-10 mm wide. The base has green sheaths. The leaves are long and narrowly oval and taper to both ends. The flowering shoots come from the rhizome. The flowers are yellow.
