Leaves often fascicled at the nodes; blades oblong, 8–15(–20) mm. long, 5–7(–13) mm. wide, shortly but densely pilosulous all over, at base rounded to broadly cuneate, acute to rounded, minutely serrulate to nearly entire, grey-green; petioles 1–3 mm. long.. Cymes much reduced, fascicle-like or glomeruliform, ± 5 mm. long and thick, 2–4-flowered; peduncles essentially absent; pedicels 2–3.5 mm. long in flower, 6–7 mm. in fruit, pilosulous.. Sepals pilosulous dorsally, 1–1.2 mm. long.. Petals ± 1 mm. long, white.. Drupe globose, 7–10 mm. thick, black at maturity.. Fig. 8/2, p. 25.
