Origin: in China; brought into the U.S. in 1908 by Frank N. Meyer, U.S. Dept. of Agriculture; P.I. 22684. Introd in 1924. Tree: large; when old, very few side branches on main branches. Fruit: size medium, up to 1 3/4 inches in diam.; oblong, tapering toward stylar end; skin red; processes well.
