Leaf-lamina 3·5–7 × 1·2–3·4 cm., narrowly elliptic-ovate to elliptic-ovate, apex acute, margin serrulate, base rounded, not markedly asymmetric, upper surface somewhat glossy, very prominently 3-nerved below from the base to the apex, with prominent reticulate venation on both sides, sparingly pubescent especially on the main nerves above and below but becoming glabrous with age; petiole 4–10 mm. long, pubescent; stipules up to 1 mm. long, not spinescent.
