Characteristics

Tall robust shrub at least 5 m tall, with many stems arising from a lignotuber. Leaves petiolate, ±fan-shaped, 3-segmented, to 30 mm long and often 30 mm wide, pubescent when young but soon glabrescent; segments with irregularly lobed margins with spines. Perianth to 27 mm long, dark red or pale red-pink and green, with short and long hairs outside. Style c. 35 mm long, glabrous; ovary slightly pubescent.
