Erect shrub to 1 m tall, without lignotuber. Older stems with warty bark. Leaves segmented, very rarely entire; petiole distinct; lamina to 15 mm long; segments 3, obovate-lanceolate, to 10 mm long, c. 3 mm wide, obtuse or occasionally uncinate, with short, appressed hairs, silvery. Perianth to 25 mm long, dark crimson, shortly hairy outside. Style 35 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous.
