Characteristics

Diffuse, erect or semiprostrate shrub to 1 m tall, with lignotuber. Leaves petiolate, 3-segmented, to 15 mm long; laciniae usually 9, terete or slightly flattened, with long and short, eglandular hairs and, occasionally, also short, glandular hairs, glabrescent, occasionally retaining hairs on petiole. Involucral bracts less than 5 mm long. Perianth to 30 mm long, red-purple to pale violet, with both glandular and eglandular hairs outside. Style to 40 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous.
