Characteristics

A sprawling Asparagus-like plant with many woody stems. Stems 25-50 cm long, covered with very short hairs; internodes 3-5 cm long. Branches usually in pairs. Leaves in distant whorls of 4-6, linear, 5-8 mm long, revolute and apparently subulate, shortly hair-pointed; Stipules linear, soon falling. Flowers subsessile, in cymose groups of 3 in the uppermost axils, the pedicels much shorter than the leaves. Perianth segments obtuse, white with the green band less than half the length. Ovary slightly compressed vertically; style not symmetrical.
