Spikelet 1.5-2.5(-3.0) mm long; rachilla not produced; glumes 1.4-2.5 mm long, persistent, lanceolate, smooth or granular except keel scabrid; lemma pubescent to pilose with hairs up to 1 mm long, rarely glabrous, denticulately obtuse, 3-nerved; awnless or with subapical awn up to 0.5 mm long; palea almost as long as or shorter than lemma; callus hairs up to 1/3 the lemma length; anther 0.5-0.7 mm long.
