Characteristics

Leaves 30–60 x 2–6 mm., linear-lanceolate, acute, subcordate at base, dentate with 3–7 teeth on each margin, glabrous above, pilose-scabrid on somewhat thickened margin and major nerves beneath.

Calyx 11.5–18(21) mm. long, thin, clearly 10-nerved, long-pilose only on nerves and margins of lobes; lobes 5–10 mm. long, narrowly triangular.
Erect, prostrate or scrambling, short-rooted annual to c. 20 cm. tall; branches up to 18(40) cm. long, alternate, weakly medium-to long-pilose.
Stamens subequal, 4.5–5.5 mm. long; filaments bearded, anther thecae apiculate.
Corolla pale yellow or cream, 14–22 mm. long, glabrous without, eglandular.
Flowers solitary in axils of leaves or leaf-like bracts, pedicellate.
Bracteoles 10–12 mm. or more long, c. 1 mm. wide, pilose on margins.
