Characteristics

Herba in radicibus plantarum aliarum parasitica. Caulis simplex strictissime erectus 25-38 cm altus longiuscule et divaricate hispidus, foliis erecto-patentibus vel arrectis dense et subimbricate obtectus. Folia internodiis longiora, inferne accrescentia, in parte florifera paulum decrescentia, ovata vel ovato-oblonga vel ovato-lanceolata, basi obtusa et late sessilia, apice obtusa vel obtusiuscula, quinquenervia, integerrima, margine et subtus in nervis hispida pilis interdum basi paulum tuberculatis, usque 25 mm longa et 10 mm lata. Flores numerosi subsessiles in axillis foliorum superiorum, spicam thyrsoideam densissimam elongatam 10-18 cm longam formantes, usque 20 mm longi. Bracteolae lineari-oblanceolatae 12 mm longae hispidae. Calyx campanulatus 12 mm longus hispidulus, lobis tri-angularibus 4 mm longis obtusiusculis. Corolla lutea striolis obscuris (purpureis ?) picta, ca. 18 mm longa, lobis obovatis tubo paulo brevioribus. Stamina aequilonga, omnia 4 filamentis glaberrimis 5 mm longis; antherae thecis inaequalibus parallelis basi breviter et obtusiuscule apiculatis neque mucronulatis. Ovarium globosum glaberrimum 2.5 mm in diametro; stylus ca. 10 mm longus apice recurvatus.
