Characteristics

Plant to 1 m tall. Leaves shortly petiolate, glabrous; lamina lanceolate to narrowly elliptic, caudate, 10-16 cm long, 2-2.5 cm wide; ligule to 5 mm long, truncate. Inflorescence 2-3 cm long, glabrous; bracts narrowly triangular, 15-20 mm long, smaller at top of inflorescence, each subtending a cincinnus of 2 flowers; bracteoles 4-6 mm long; pedicels 1 mm long. Calyx 4-6 mm long. Corolla tube 4-6 mm long; lobes 5-7 mm long. Labellum obscurely 3-lobed, 4 mm long, 5-6 mm wide, yellow and pink. Lateral staminodes small fleshy points. Filament 2.5 mm long; anther 3 mm long, without crest. Ovary c. 2 mm long, glabrous, unilocular. Capsule to 2 cm diam.
