Characteristics

Bulb up to 9 cm. in diameter, with a neck.. Leaves 1.2–2.8 cm. broad, length varying with age.. Scape 3–13 cm. long, 3–12-flowered.. Pedicels 0.2–2.2 cm. long.. Perianth white to cream with pink tube and a pink median line on the outside of the segments, fading to more pink with age, sweetly scented; tube 3.5–8 cm.; segments oblanceolate, 2–4 cm. long, 5–8 mm. wide, gradually spreading from the base, spreading or recurved towards the apex.. Stamens almost erect, slightly exserted; filaments white, the outer ± 5 mm. long, the inner ± 1 cm. long; anthers 4 mm., nearly straight.. Style 4.5–6 cm., elongating with age, apparently always included within the tube.
