Inflorescence many-flowered fasciculate, axillary, borne on this year's wood. Bisexual flowers: sepals 5, fused at the base; stamens at least twice as many as the calyx lobes; ovary sessile, the styles 2, fused at the base, spreading, persistent. Staminate flowers with rudimentary pistil. Fruit a small drupe.
