Plants with stems to 300 mm long, 2-4 mm in diameter, branching and often tangled; leaves 8-16, adjacent, sheaths 10-15 mm long, verrucose, blades flat, rounded, unequally bilobed, 30-60 x 4-8 mm. Inflorescences opposite the leaves, peduncle 20-30 mm long, slender, with solitary flowers; bracts papery, 5 mm long. Flowers white. Sepals equal, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, spreading with the apiculus curved inwards, 25-30 x 4 mm. Petals similar to sepals, but smaller, 20-25 x 2-3 mm. Lip very broadly ovate, concave, shortly acuminate or with apiculus to 7 mm long, 12 x 10 mm; spur tapering, 30-45 mm long. Gynostemium short, stout, 3 mm tall. Capsules slender, angled, ellipsoid, 30 x 8 mm.
Herb, slender epiphyte, up to 0. 6 m high, 200 mm in diam. Stem long, branched in large clumps, leafy, without pseudobulbs, with many grey roots with rough, warty velamen. Leaves sessile, widely spaced, alternate, 60 x 9 mm, tough, leathery, dark green, linear or narrowly strap-shaped; sheaths warty, unequally bilobed at apex. Inflorescences opposite leaves; flowers solitary, non-resupinate, up to 60 mm in diam., cream-coloured to yellowish green, lip white. Sepals: median sepal longer than petals; lateral sepals wider and longer than petals. Lip broadly ovate, concave, almost orbicular, 20 mm in diam., apex pointed; spur 40-50 mm long, smooth.
