Characteristics

Plants with erect stems to 25 mm tall, densely covered by old leaf-sheaths; leaves grass-like, 5-10, in a dense terminal cluster on the stem, linear, rounded, thin, 40-160 x 3-4 mm. Inflorescences of several laxly 4-15-flowered, to 100 mm long racemes, borne from below the leaves; sheaths 1-3, papery, less than 5 mm long; bracts to 2 mm long. Flowers to 5 mm in diameter, star-like, white. Sepals subequal, narrowly lanceolate to narrowly oblong, subacuminate, apices reflexed, 1.5 x 1 mm, median wider than the laterals, 1.5 mm wide. Petals lanceolate-acuminate, 1.2 x 1 mm. Lip deeply galeate, acuminate, margins widely incurved leaving only a small entrance, 2.3 mm tall, 1.5 mm wide and 1.5 mm deep; spur saccate, 1 mm deep, apically rounded. Gynostemium 0.5 mm tall. Capsules almost spheroidal, 4-5 x 2.5-4 mm.
