Characteristics

Leaves distinctly fused, old leaves forming a dry sheath around new set of leaves. Slender shrublet to 25 cm. Leaves slender, erect, with a recurved bristly tip, margins and keel finely hairy, green, 13 mm long. Flowers on pedicels to 20 mm long, purplish, 10 mm diam.
