Suffruticose at base only, stems ascending-erect, subsimple, laxly leafy, angular, thinly tomentose, ending in long nude peduncles; subradical leaves petioled, lanceolate or rarely lyrate, tapering much to each end, remotely denticulate, cauline not clasping, lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, subpetiolate, attenuate at base and apex, all thinly silvery; outer inv. sc. with linear, subtomentose points; achenes silky, with ample basal tuft.
