Characteristics

Perennial, virgate, dwarf shrub, 0.07-1.50 m high (coastal forms at Humansdorp < 0.6 m high, with small leaflets; inland forms from Baviaanskloof Mts, up to 2 m high, virgate with larger leaflets); rootstock thickened. Leaves densely sericeous, silvery; leaflets round. Inflorescences of terminal racemes. Flowering time July-Jan.
