Flowers: inflorescence a well-developed, many-flowered, congested, terminal raceme; bracts > 6 mm long, bracteoles 4-7 mm long; corolla bright yellow, young flowers with corolla uniformly yellow, sometimes becoming reddish brown with age; Nov.-Feb. Pods densely hairy.
