Lowermost and middle stem leaves elliptic-lanceolate or lanceolate, 8-13 × 2-3 cm, base attenuate, margin serrulate, apex acuminate. Uppermost leaves and leaflike bracts elliptic or linear-lanceolate. Synflorescence a narrow panicle. Involucre ovoid or ovoid-campanulate, 2-3 mm in diam. Marginal female florets 3-5. Disk florets 8-12, bisexual. Achenes obovoid or ovoid. Fl. and fr. Jul-Oct.
