Characteristics

Perennial, geophytic herb, 170-350 mm high. Stems 1-3, ascending. Leaves linear to narrowly lanceolate, 7.0-10.5 x 0.3-4.0 mm, base cuneate, apex acuminate; petioles up to 3 mm long. Inflorescences 4(-10)-flowered. Flowers 7-13 mm wide, mauve or white tinted purple. Corolla spreading, apex erect; lobes 6.2-7.6 x 3.0-5.2 mm, lower surface sparsely pilose. Staminal column 2.5-5.5 mm high, stipitate. Corona: lobes cucullate, 2.5-5.0 mm high, (2.0-)2.5-3.8 mm long, upper proximal appendages short, erect and fin-like, upper distal hooded, blunt or rarely apex bifid; sinus cavity with papillae; upper margin with proximal end below style-stigma-head and distal end level or above it. Anther: appendage ovate, 0.6-1.0 x 1.0-1.6 mm, incumbent on style-stigma-head. Flowering time Nov.-Apr.

Erect to decumbent perennial herb. Leaves 9-10 times as long as broad, linear to narrowly lanceolate. Corolla lobes spreading with tips curving up; scabrous to pubescent outside, canescent inside. Corona lobes erect, shorter than to slightly exceeding staminal column, cucullate part of corona lobes ± as long as broad. Flowers purple, off-white, white or mauve to grey.
