Slender, 3–6 dm; lvs numerous, linear, 8–15 cm, glabrous or nearly so; umbels 1–6, 10–30-fld, on peduncles 1–5 cm; pedicels with incurved hairs; cor pale greenish-white and tinted with purple, its lobes 5–6 mm; hoods as in no. 19 [Asclepias hirtella (Pennell) Woodson], but reaching just to the projecting angle of the anther-wings. Moist or wet pine-lands on the coastal plain; Del. to Fla. and La. July, Aug. (Acerates l.; A. floridana, misapplied)
