Characteristics

Herba perennis caudice robusto verticali c.8 mm diam.; caules prostrati, annui, ad 20 cm longi, 1 mm diam., simplices vel inferne parce ramosi, sparsim pilosi, 3-7 paribus foliorum praediti. Folia c. 10-30 x 7-16 mm, lanceolata, acuta, basi ± truncata vel paulo rotundata, utrinque molliter pilosa; petiolus usque ad 3 mm longus. Umbella solitaria, terminalis, hemisphaerica, 25-30 mm diam., c. 20-25-flora; pedunculus c. 40-70 mm et pedicelli c. 8-10 mm longi, omnes ut caules pilosi. Flores fragrantes. Calyx lobis c. 3 x 1.25 mm lanceolatis pilosis. Corolla fere ad basin divisa; lobi demum valde reflexi, c. 4 x 2.5 mm, ovati, supra puberuli, infra pilis paucis grossis patentibus, sordide cremei pallide chocolatino-notati, externe pallide chocolatini. Coronae lobi supra basi columnae staminalis orientes, pallide flavi, erecti, c. 1 x 1 mm, sulco parvo in facie interiore excepto solidi, basi truncati anguste marginati, apice oblique truncati facie exteriore interiori paulo altiore, marginibus interioribus et apicalibus in dentes duos inflexos ad summum gynostegium distincte haud attingentes. Columna staminalis c. 1.25 mm alta; appendices antherarum transverse oblongi, ad summum gynostegium attingentes. Gynostegium album, truncatum, levissime sulcatum, appendicibus antherarum ad sulcos appressis.

Delicate, perennial, geophytic, procumbent herb, 165-180 mm long. Stems 4-7. Leaves spreading, ovate to lanceolate, 10-26 x 7-10 mm. Inflorescences terminal, globose, 20-25-flowered; peduncle 38-70 mm long. Flowers green, sweetly scented. Corolla reflexed; lobes ovate, ± 4 x 2.5 mm. Staminal column shortly stipitate. Corona dull yellow or creamy brown, solid and fleshy, ± 1 mm square, upper proximal edges extended into 2 short, blunt, inwardly touching, shoulder-like appendages just below style-stigma-head, upper margin truncate, upper distal end rounded. Anther transversely oblong (twice as wide as long), upper edge emarginate, incumbent on style-stigma-head.
