Characteristics

Plants 18-30 cm tall, with branched stems. Leaves opposite, longer than internodes; lamina 2-8 x 0.05-0.6 cm; upper surface glabrous, lower surface glabrous except for the appressed-pubescent midrib. Flowers 3-8 per node, their colour unknown; pedicels 2-4 mm long. Calyx segments 2-2.5 x 1 mm, very sparsely to moderately pilose. Corolla lobes 5 x 2 mm, strongly replicate at anthesis, completely glabrous. Corona 3 mm high, of type B; basal lobe 1.5-2 mm high, with peaked shoulders; ventral appendage erect-inflexed. Corpusculum 0.25-0.3 mm long; pollinium 0.63-0.7 mm long, with clear germination zone. Fruit 6.5 cm long, without bristles, pubescent, glab rescent; seed 0.4 mm long; coma 25 mm long.
