Perennial, geophytic herb, 260-500 mm high. Stems erect and unbranched. Leaves opposite, all or most shorter than internodes, held vertically, glandular hairs present, blade 25-35 x 1-2 mm. Flowers: pedicels 5-8 mm long; corona of 5 segments, lime-green, lobes always with a ventral appendage; corpusculum inconspicuous; corolla lobes spreading and slightly cucullate, inside glabrous, outside pilose, pale green, striped maroon; Oct.-Jan.
