Characteristics

Perennial, geophytic herb, 180-550 mm high. Stems solitary, erect. Leaves spreading, linear, 11-68 x 0.7-4.0 mm, base cuneate, apex acuminate. Inflorescences corymbose umbellate, 1 or 2 per plant, 1-7-flowered; peduncle 3-75 mm long. Flowers dull greenish or mustard-yellow. Corolla spreading, rotate, 7.6-10.5 x 2.6-5.8 mm. Staminal column 1.5-2.6 mm high, stipitate. Corona: lobes bonnet-shaped, 3.0-4.8 mm high, 1.3-2.5 mm wide, upper proximal edges extended, subulate appendages projecting over style-stigma-head, upper margin ascending to a flat, spade-like upper distal end greatly overtopping style-stigma-head, keel curving down, lobes supported on thickened basal rim; sinus with tongue-like appendage projecting out by 0.8-1.3 mm. Anther: appendage transversely elliptic with cleft apex.
