Characteristics

Planta fera ad 3 cm alta, eaudice saepe 1 cm diam.; folia subfalcate incurvata, supra plana, adulta saepe acute carinata, lat. visa acuminata, supra medium lateraliter compressa, glauca vel glauce viridia, levia, 1-2 cm, vel culta ad 3 cm longa, medio 2.5-4 mm lata, 3-4 mm diam., vagina ad 3 mm.; ramuli floriferi 2-foliati; flores 3-nati pomeridiani vespertinique; pedunculi 5 mm, vel culti ad 1.7 cm., longi; bracteae basales, ad 1 cm longae cum vagina 3 mm; receptaculum turbinatum, ultra glandulas leviter productum, 3 mm longum, ad 4 mm diam.; sepala 5, acuminata apiculata, 5-7 mm, vel in flore culto 7-9 mm, longa, basi 1.5-2 mm lata; petala 2-seriata, apicem versus inferneque angustata, prope medium latissiina, acuta vel subobtusa, laete lutea, 6-8 mm, vel ad 1.1 cm, longa, ad 1.5 mm lata; filamenta epapillata, ad 5 et 6 mm longa, superne cum antheris pollineque aurea; glandulae virides; ovarium concavum. lobis valde compressis distantibus, altitudine apicem receptaculi vix excedentibus; stigmata 5, gracillima, superne haud vel vix attenuata, 5-7 mm longa; capsula generis. Fl. hort. Nov.-Dec. 1932-1935.
