Subspecies

Angiosperms > Asterales > Asteraceae > Berkheya > Berkheya zeyheri

Characteristics

Very like B. insignis, but distinguished by the long marginal leaf bristles being more or less confined to the lower half of the leaf. There is also a tendency for the stems to be once or twice forked, not simple. The ray and disc flowers are often yellow, but in Natal it is more usual to find heads with white or creamy-white rays.
