Characteristics

Annual herb to 50 cm tall, erect, with sessile or stalked stellate or irregularly branched hairs. Basal leaves sinuate-pinnatifid, to 12 cm long, with 2–5 pairs of lobes, petiolate; cauline leaves reducing to entire, sessile. Sepals to 7 mm long, the laterals saccate. Petals 9–13 mm long, white, pink or lavender. Style 2–4 mm long. Siliqua linear, mostly 2.5–4 cm long, 1.5–2.5 mm wide, terete to slightly flattened; valves densely hairy, not markedly constricted between seeds; pedicels stout, erect, mostly 8–13 mm long. Seeds oval, plump, 1–1.5 mm long.
