Characteristics

Annual herb to 50 cm tall, erect, with sessile to stalked, stellate or irregularly branched hairs. Basal leaves sinuate-pinnatifid, to 7 cm long, with 2–5 pairs of lobes, petiolate; cauline leaves variable, pinnatifid or entire, petiolate or sessile. Sepals to 7 mm long, the laterals saccate. Petals 9–13 mm long, white, pink or lavender. Style up to 1.5 mm long. Siliqua linear, 4.5–7 cm long, 1–2.5 mm wide, terete to slightly flattened; valves sparsely hairy, usually slightly constricted between seeds; pedicels slender, recurved, to 18 mm long. Seeds oval, compressed, winged, 1–1.5 mm long.
