Evergreen shrub, scrambling or climbing, to several m high; young branches zig-zag, pubescent.. Leaves ovate to lanceolate, 6–11 cm long, 2–5.5 cm wide, base truncate to attenuate, margins entire, apex shortly acuminate, puberulous above, densely pubescent and densely glandular beneath; petiole 1–3 cm long.. Glomerules in stalked leafy cymes near the ends of branches, the individual glomerules globose and 10–17 mm across, with up to 30 capitula; capitula with 2 female and 2 male florets.. Phyllaries 3.5–6 mm long; paleae 5–7 mm long.. Female florets 1.5–2.5 mm long, glandular; male florets 3.5–5 mm long, glandular.. Achenes of female florets narrowly obovoid, 3–4 mm long, with twin-hairs; pappus of 8–15 flat scales 0.5–2 mm long.. Achenes of male florets 1–2 mm long, with pappus of 10–19 scales 1–3 mm long.
