Leaves alternate, clearly spaced on twigs of the current year, petiolate; blade very broadly ovate, 4–6 cm. long, 3.5–5 cm. wide, apically markedly retuse, basally rounded-cuneate to rounded-truncate, minutely pubescent on both surfaces; petiole 4–7 mm. long.. Inflorescence a terminal few-flowered raceme; bracts large, like miniature leaves; pedicels 15–20 mm. long.. Sepals about 5–6 mm. long, 4 mm. wide.. Stamens 15–20, 6–7 mm. long.. Gynophore a little longer than the stamens.. Fruits unknown.
